If you go into the Sitapura Industrial Area, you can find Vimal Power Cables Pvt. Ltd. at F-370-371. We have two units side by side because the cable drums are honestly pretty huge. They take up a lot of floor space once they are wound up and ready to go. The machines make a lot of noise throughout the day, so we have to shout sometimes just to hear each other talk. It is a busy place with a lot of copper wire and plastic casing lying everywhere. We started this business because there was a real need for it in the market. We are not trying to be the biggest company in all of India. We just want to make sure the cables we produce are solid and do not fail on people. The floor is usually covered in little scrap bits of wire. We try to keep the place clean, but it is a constant battle against the mess. The sun hits the metal roof in the late afternoon and it gets quite warm inside the units. We have a small office tucked in the corner where we handle all the orders and paperwork. Most of our staff have been with us since the day we opened the doors. We know each other’s families and everything about one another. It is like a small community inside these walls. We do not use big words or slogans. We just make cables and ship them out to whoever ordered them.
