We are based in Phase-1 of the Sitapura Industrial Area, at G1-550. This is where we do all our fabric printing. The building is basically one big room with long tables and machines for the ink. There’s usually a strong smell of dye in the air, which we’ve all gotten used to over the years. We spend our days watching the colors go onto the cloth and making sure the patterns line up. It’s a messy job sometimes. You’ll see ink stains on our hands and clothes quite often. We aren't a big corporate office with desks and computers. It’s a hands-on place. We started out small and just stayed here at this plot as we got more work from local textile guys. The workers are mostly folks from the surrounding villages. We have tea together every afternoon while the fabric dries on the racks. We don't really do any mission statements or anything like that. We just try to get the prints to look right so the customers come back with the next batch. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving the rolls of cloth around and cleaning the screens. But it's what we know how to do. The floor is usually a bit wet, and there are buckets everywhere. We just try to keep things organized enough to get through the week. There is always someone checking the stock near the back door around five o’clock.
