Our business is based in Jaipur, at G1/24 in the EPIP part of the Sitapura Industrial Area. We deal with gems and exports. Jaipur is famous for stones, so this is the right place for us to be. The industrial area is a bit far from the main city, so it’s quieter here than in the markets. Our space is very functional. We have benches for sorting and scales for weighing. It’s not a jewelry shop where things are under glass and lights. It’s more of a workshop and export hub. We spend our days looking at stones and talking to people overseas. Being a Private Limited company means we have some rules to follow, but we keep the atmosphere fairly relaxed. There are only a few of us here. We’ve learned everything we know by just doing it for years. You can't really learn about gems from a book; you have to see them and touch them. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most of our clients have been with us for a long time. They trust us because we are honest about what we have in stock. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait, but that’s just life here. We just keep working and try to do a good job every day. There is always something new to see in the rough stones.
