Our workshop is over in the Sitapura Industrial Area, specifically at G-102 in the SEZ-2 zone. It’s a busy place with a lot of noise from the tools. We’ve been working on jewelry here for a good amount of time. Most of the day is spent looking at small stones or polishing metal. It’s detailed work, so the lights stay on late quite often. We aren't a big fancy showroom with carpets. It’s more of a production space where people are actually making things by hand. You’ll see benches covered in pliers and little trays of bits and pieces everywhere. The air smells a bit like metal and wax. We have a small team, and everyone just knows their job. Some of us have been doing this for years. We don't really do much advertising. People find us because they know we're in the industrial area. It's a lot of sitting still and focusing on the tiny details. Sometimes we have tea breaks together in the back when a big order is finished. It’s a steady kind of life. We like the work, even if it’s hard on the eyes after eight hours. There isn't any corporate structure here, just a few of us trying to make things that look nice. We keep the doors open and the fans running during the summer. It gets pretty stuffy inside without them.
