Shree Shyam Jewellers

You can find us over at Prem Sagar Apartment in Shakti Nagar. We actually take up a few spots on the ground floor, G-2, G-8, and G-13. It’s right near the State Bank of Indore, so most people use that as a landmark to find us. Shree Shyam Jewellers is a local shop where we spend our days dealing with gold, silver, and various ornaments. It’s not a huge fancy showroom with guards at every door. It’s more of a neighborhood place where people stop in to see what’s new or to get something repaired. We have different sections for different things across those three units. It keeps us moving back and forth quite a bit during the day. The counters are usually lined with velvet pads, and there’s always a magnifying glass or two lying around. We’ve been part of the Shakti Nagar community for a while now. We don’t really do those big televised ads or anything. Most of our customers are folks who live nearby or have been coming to us for years. Sometimes it gets crowded on festival days, and other times it’s just us sitting here cleaning the glass cases. We just take things as they come. It’s a lot of manual work, checking weights and looking at designs, but it’s what we know. We open up in the morning, set out the trays, and wait to see who stops by the apartment building today.
