Out here at Mangal Nagar on Sirsi Road, things are always moving. Our spot is at number 94, not too far from the GPO area in Jaipur. It’s a bit of a drive if you’re coming from the main city, but this side of town is where a lot of new things are happening these days. We spend most of our mornings opening up the shutters and dusting off the desks because the road gets quite a bit of traffic and dust. People come in looking for plots or maybe a house in Panchawala. We’ve seen the roads get paved and the streetlights go up over the years. It’s a local business, so we don't do things like the big corporate offices in the malls. We just have our registers and a few chairs for whoever drops by. Usually, it’s locals wanting to sell a bit of land or someone moving to Jaipur for work. We talk, we show them what’s available on the maps, and we see if it fits. There’s no pressure, just regular talk about prices and locations. Sometimes we are out on the site most of the day, so the office might be locked for an hour, but we’re always around. It's a straightforward way of working. Sirsi Road is getting crowded now, but we still know which lane leads where and who owns what around here.
