Shilpkar Art Gallery

You can find Shilpkar Art Gallery tucked away in Gali No. 5, right behind the A C Market in Raja Park. The building is called Krishnam. It’s a busy part of town, so there is always noise from the market and cars honking nearby. We like being in Raja Park because there is always something going on. Our gallery isn't huge, but we make the most of the space we have. We spend a lot of time rearranging things to make room for new arrivals. Often, you’ll find us in the back with a cup of tea, talking about what needs to be done next. The walls are covered with different works, and sometimes it feels a bit crowded, but that is just how we like it. It feels alive. We aren't the type of people to wear suits or act formal. We are usually in our work clothes, maybe with a bit of clay or paint on our hands. People drop in while they are out shopping at the market, and we always have time for a quick chat. It’s a local spot where we just focus on the craft and the community around us. There is no corporate vibe here, just a lot of hard work and a love for making things that look good in a home.
