Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd

You can find us over in Peer Baba Colney, which is right by the railway bridge in Roorkee. It’s a recognizable spot because of the trains passing by all the time. The sound of the tracks is something we’ve just gotten used to over the months. We run our branch of Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd out of this space. It’s not a big, shiny building, just a regular place where we can keep our files and meet up before heading out to a site. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, but we try to keep it tidy enough. There’s a tea stall nearby where we usually grab a quick drink in the mornings. Work here is mostly about logistics and making sure the projects stay on track. We don't have a receptionist or fancy furniture. It’s just a bunch of us working hard and trying to get things done right. If you’re looking for the office, just head toward the bridge and you’ll see where we are. Roorkee is a busy town with all the students and the construction going on, and being in the colony makes us feel like part of the local community. We don't put on any acts. We just show up, do the work, and deal with the challenges as they come. The office is often full of rolls of drawings and boots. It’s a real working environment, nothing more.
