We set up shop here on Mahavir Marg in the C-Scheme area. It is quite close to Mahavir School, so you can often hear the kids during their breaks. This part of town is a bit quieter than the main markets, which we like for our work. We deal with gems and imports, mostly. Our office isn't very large, just enough room for the displays and some workspace in the back for grading and packing up things. We have got a couple of old desks and some very bright lights so we can see what we are doing with the stones. It is a family-run sort of feeling here even if we aren't all related by blood. Most people find us because they were told about the location near the school. We do not do much advertising; we just stay here and work on the gems. Sometimes the paperwork for the imports gets a bit much, but we chip away at it every day. It is a lot of sitting and looking at small things through lenses, so we take breaks to chat or grab a tea from the small stall nearby. The building is older, but it stays cool enough in the heat because of the way it was built. We do not have a fancy showroom with carpets. It is more of a place where we do the actual work of the business. We just keep things simple and try to be fair with everyone who comes through the door looking for gems.
