Safecon Electrical

The shop is over at 888 Barkat Nagar in the Tonk Phatak area. Jaipur gets really hot in the summer, so the fans and coolers are always running. We spend a lot of time looking at wires and fixing boards that have burnt out. It’s a small place, nothing too special to look at. Just a lot of tools and rolls of wire sitting around. People from around the neighborhood drop by when their lights flicker or if they need a new plug installed. Sometimes we are out all day at a site and the shop stays quiet. Other times, everyone comes in at once. We don't have a big team or anything. It’s just us trying to keep the electricity running right for the folks around here. The traffic outside can get a bit loud, especially near the main road. We’ve seen the area change quite a bit over the years. We just try to stay busy. There is always a fuse to change or a motor that needs rewiring. It’s honest work and it keeps us moving. We drink a lot of tea while we work on things. If you walk past, you’ll probably see us bent over a workbench with a screwdriver. We don’t do much talking, mostly just focusing on the job at hand. It's a simple life at the shop. We keep our tools sharp and our hands busy. It's just a part of the daily grind in this city.
