Kishanpole Bazar is one of those places that never really stops, and we are right in the thick of it at number 290. If you have ever been down this way, you know how crowded and loud it gets with all the shops and shoppers squeezed together. Our shop is filled with bags of almonds, cashews, and raisins, and there is barely enough room to move around some days. We spend a lot of our time sorting through the stock and weighing things out for people who walk in off the street. The dust from the bazar gets everywhere, so we are constantly wiping down the counters. It is an old-school way of doing business, where you talk to your neighbors and keep an eye on the street. We don't have fancy packaging or bright lights. It is just a simple shop with wooden shelves and a lot of history in these walls. Some days the heat is almost unbearable, and we just sit near the fan and wait for the sun to go down. We have been here for years, and we have seen the bazar change as the city grows. Customers come in looking for something specific, and we do our best to find it in the stacks of sacks. It is hard work, especially moving the heavy bags around, but it is how we make our living in this busy part of town.
