Tonk Road is one of those places that never really sleeps. We are tucked away at A-55 in Van Vihar Colony, which is a bit of a relief from the main road noise. S K Badjatya & Co has been around this part of Jaipur for a good while. You walk in and you see a lot of paper and old files, which is just the nature of what we do. It’s not a modern building with elevators and fancy lobbies. It’s more of a traditional setup where everyone knows where everything is, mostly. The colony is nice because of the trees, and it’s a bit cooler than the open road. We spend our mornings sorting through the mail and getting the day started before it gets too hot. Most of our neighbors are families, so it’s a friendly vibe. You don’t feel like you’re in a dry business district. We just sit here and do the work that needs doing. Sometimes the internet is slow, or the phone won't stop ringing, but we manage. We aren’t trying to be the biggest firm in the city. We just want to finish our tasks and go home at a decent hour. It’s a simple life at A-55. We’ve seen the city change a lot from this window over the years, but we just keep doing our thing and handling the daily paperwork that comes through the door.
