S.G. Jewellery Co.

If you find yourself near Narain Singh Circle, we are just a short walk away at 4/21, Lal Niwas on Ram Singh Road. S.G. Jewellery Co. is a small, family-style setup. We have been working with gold and stones in this little corner for a while. The shop is not very large, so it can get a bit cramped when more than two or three people come in at once. We have our workbenches set up in the back where we spend most of our hours. It’s quiet work, mostly, just the sound of small tools tapping or the polishing wheel spinning. We don't have big glowing signs or fancy displays like the shops you see in the malls. We prefer keeping things simple. Most of the folks who come to us are looking for something specific or need a piece repaired. We sit at the counter and talk through what they need, maybe show them a few things we've been working on. Being on Ram Singh Road is good because it’s a familiar spot for many people in the area. The lighting inside could probably be better, but we have our desk lamps for the detailed stuff. We don't really do much to promote ourselves. We just open the shutters in the morning and wait for the day to begin. It is honest work and we take our time with every piece that comes across the bench.
