S G Hospital & Research Centre

You can find S G Hospital & Research Centre right behind the Ram Mandir in Mahavir Nagar, just off Tonk Road. It is a big building and we have a lot going on inside. Since we are a research center too, there are always people walking around with clipboards and looking at data. But for the most part, we are just a hospital for the folks living in Mahavir Nagar. The proximity to the temple means we hear the bells sometimes which is quite nice during a long shift. Tonk Road is always packed with cars so getting here can be a bit of a challenge in the evenings. Our lobby is usually full of people sitting on the blue plastic chairs waiting for their turn. We have a small canteen where the staff and families get their tea. It isn’t anything special but the tea is hot and strong. We try to keep things organized but with so many departments it can get a bit confusing for new people. We just point them in the right direction and keep moving. The walls are mostly white and we have some old plants in the corners that we try to water when we remember. It is a busy life here and there is never a dull moment. We just focus on getting through the patient list and making sure everything is running okay for tomorrow.
