Rungta Hospital

Living and working in Jaipur means getting used to the heat, especially during the summer months when the sun is really strong. Rungta Hospital has been part of the landscape here for some time. We’re located right in Jaipur, and the city hums around us all day long. I start my shift early when the air is still a bit cool. The hospital building has its own rhythm. You hear the sound of carts being pushed and the low murmur of people waiting in the hallways. It’s a busy place but we try to keep things moving along. Sometimes the traffic outside gets a bit loud, especially during rush hour when everyone is trying to get across the city. Jaipur is a big place but our corner of it feels familiar. We see a lot of faces every day. Some people are just here for a quick checkup and others stay longer. We have a small area where staff can sit for five minutes and have a glass of water. It’s important to stay hydrated here. The walls are painted a plain color and we have some old chairs in the waiting area that have been there since I started. We don't really do much in the way of decoration. It's just a hospital in Jaipur where we come to work and do our jobs. By the time I head home, the city lights are coming on and things finally start to cool down a bit.
