Rosewood Handmade Paper Industries

We’ve been tucked away in the City Centre building on Sansar Chandra Road for quite a while now. The space isn’t huge, but it fits what we need for the paper work. Most days it’s just the sound of the screens dipping into the vats and the wet thud of pulp hitting the tables. It gets pretty humid in here, especially when we’ve got a lot of sheets drying on the racks, but you get used to the smell of the raw fibers after a few days. The traffic outside on the main road is always a bit much, so we usually stay in until it’s time to head home. Our hands stay pretty stained and calloused from the process, but that’s just how it goes when you’re making things from scratch. We don't have fancy machinery, just the basic frames and our own strength to get the water out. Sometimes the batches come out a little different depending on the weather or how the vat was feeling that morning, but people around here seem to like that it doesn't look like it came out of a big factory printer. Usually, we just keep our heads down and get through the stacks. If you walk past 112A, you can usually hear us moving things around. It's a messy job, really. There is always water on the floor and bits of dried leaf or petal stuck to our clothes by five o'clock.
