R.G. Gems

If you walk down Bhagwandas Road in C-Scheme, you will find us in the Jawala Building at C-21A. This area is usually pretty busy with people moving around all the time. We spend most of our hours looking at stones and talking to people who come in wanting to see what we have in stock. It is not a big corporate setup, just a regular place where we keep the gems safe and sorted. Some days are slow and we just sit and clean the display cases or update the physical books. Other days, it feels like everyone wants to see something at the same time. The light in the office is okay, but we use extra lamps to really see the details of the pieces we are working with. We have been in this spot for a good bit now and we like the neighborhood. There are some nice tea stalls nearby where we go for breaks during the afternoon. Dealing with gems takes a lot of patience because you have to be careful with every little piece. We do not have a marketing team or anything like that. We just open the doors, answer the phone, and show people what we have got. It is a straightforward way to run a business. The Jawala Building has its own character, a bit old but it suits what we do here in Jaipur. It is a quiet, honest life working with stones.
