Our shop is tucked away at B-40 in the Mgd Market, right in the middle of Tripolia Bazaar. If you know the area, you know how crowded it gets with all the shoppers and the rickshaws. We’ve been sitting in this same spot for a long time now. My grandfather was the one who really got things moving here, and not much has changed in terms of how we do things every day. We sell fabrics and different kinds of clothing materials. The shelves are stacked all the way to the ceiling, and honestly, sometimes it’s hard to find a specific roll of cloth without a ladder and a bit of luck. It’s dusty work and the fans don’t do much when it’s really hot in July, but we stay busy. People from all over the city come by because they know we have a bit of everything shoved into these corners. We don't do much advertising or anything like that. Word just gets around. Most of our regulars have been coming to us for twenty years or more. They come in, sit on the floor cushions, have some tea, and look through the new arrivals. It’s a slow process sometimes, but that’s the way business happens in the bazaar. We stay open late most nights because the market only really wakes up after the sun starts going down. It’s a loud, messy place, but it’s home for us.
