Yash Impex

Yash Impex is tucked away in Ramganj Bazar. If you know the area, you know how crowded Phutta Khurra can get. Our space is in Modi Niwas, number 3736. It’s a busy spot with people moving around all the time. We’ve been here long enough that we don’t even notice the noise anymore. The stairs in the building are a bit narrow, so carrying stuff up and down takes a bit of effort. We mostly deal with trade and getting things moved from one place to another. It’s not glamorous work. Sometimes the shipments arrive late, and we have to stay late to sort them. The market has its own rhythm. Mornings start slow with shutters opening up, and then it’s just a rush until evening. We drink a lot of chai while we wait for customers or deliveries. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy to bother. It’s a practical space. We keep track of everything in old ledgers and some on the computer when it works. Working in the bazar means you see a lot of faces every day. We don’t have a big team. It’s just us trying to keep things moving. The location is good for business even if parking is a nightmare. Most of our neighbors have been here for decades. It’s just how things are in this part of town and we like it.
