Sheikh Aircon

Our shop, Sheikh Aircon, is sitting at 56 Rameshwar Dham on Benar Road. It’s a dusty stretch of road with a lot of trucks going past all day long. We spend most of our time out on calls, but the shop is where we keep all the tools and the spare parts. There are old air conditioning units sitting in the corner that we use for scrap or parts. The floor is concrete and has some oil stains on it. It’s just me and two other guys working here. We mostly do repairs and cleaning of units when the weather starts getting warm. Benar Road can be a bit loud, so we usually have the radio playing to drown out the traffic. I have an old chair behind the counter where I sit to write down the appointments in a diary. We don't use computers for that. It’s a lot of climbing up and down ladders and getting dust in your eyes. My hands are usually dirty from the wires and the cooling fins. We drink a lot of water because it gets stuffy inside the shop. It’s just a regular business, nothing fancy about it. We’ve been at this Rameshwar Dham address for a few years now. Most of our work comes from people nearby who know us. We just get on with the job every morning. It is hard work but it pays the bills for us.
