Rajendra Golcha

If you are looking for us, you have to head into Johari Bazar. It’s always a bit of a maze in there with all the people and the narrow lanes. We are at 3760, Kgb Ka Rasta, right at the 3rd Cross. Rajendra Golcha is the name on the small board, though most people who live around here already know where we are. It’s a very old part of town, and the building feels like it has a lot of history in the walls. We don't have a lot of space, but we make it work. Every morning starts with unlocking the heavy shutters and dusting off the counters. The 3rd Cross gets very busy by midday, so we try to get our main sorting done early when it’s still relatively cool. There’s always someone shouting outside or a bike trying to squeeze through the crowd. We deal with people coming in to talk about business, sitting on the cushions, and drinking some chai while we look at things. It’s a slow process sometimes. We don't use fancy computers for everything; a lot of it is still done with a pen and a ledger. That’s just the way it has been done here for a long time. It’s dusty and noisy, but it’s our daily routine. We stay until the market starts to wind down in the evening. It’s just how life goes in the heart of the bazaar.
