Raj Painter

At 192 Shastri Nagar Tata Nagar, near the 3rd crossing, is where you will find Raj Painter. I started this a long time ago and have stayed in the same neighborhood. Shastri Nagar has changed a lot, but the work remains mostly the same. I spend my mornings checking the weather because rain ruins everything when you are trying to paint an exterior wall. If the sky looks okay, I load up the cycle or the small truck with whatever we need. My hands are usually covered in some kind of stain or white primer by noon. It is just the way it goes. The shop at the 3rd crossing is small, mostly filled with old tins and some sample boards. It is not very organized, but I know where everything is. My family lives nearby, so I am always around. Sometimes people stop by just to ask what kind of paint lasts longest in the sun. I tell them what I have seen over the years. It is a quiet life for the most part, except for the sound of the traffic at the crossing. We aren't a big company with uniforms or anything. We are just local painters who know these streets well. We try to finish on time, but sometimes things take longer if the walls are damp. We just keep at it until it is finished.
