Race Automotives

Our shop, Race Automotives, is located at number 5 in Raghunath Colony. We are right there near Ajay Circle in Jhotwara, Jaipur. If you know the area, you know it gets quite dusty and hot during the summer months, but we keep the shutters up and the fans going. We have been working on vehicles in this spot for a long time now. Most of the day is spent under hoods or crawling around on the floor looking for a dropped bolt. The floor usually has a few oil stains that just won’t come out no matter how much we scrub them. It’s a regular neighborhood place where people from the colony drop in just to ask a quick question about a strange noise their car is making. We don't have a fancy waiting room with a coffee machine or anything like that. Usually, people just stand around and talk while we work. We handle a lot of different parts and tools, and sometimes the place looks a bit cluttered when we have three or four jobs going at once. It gets loud with the sound of wrenches hitting the floor and engines being tested. We just try to get the work finished so people can get back on the road. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down over Jaipur. We just like fixing things that are broken.
