Prince Mutton Shop

Chandpole Bazar is a place with a lot of character, and we are right there at shop number 6. Being in the mutton business means our day starts when most people are still in deep sleep. We have to be at the shop early to get everything ready before the morning rush starts. It is a messy job, there is no way around that, and we spend a lot of time with knives and cleaning up the workspace. The bazar is always alive with noise, from the honking of horns to the shouting of other shopkeepers. We have been here in Chandpole for a long time, and we know most of the regular customers who come by for their weekly meat. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a counter and the tools we need to do our work. We don't have air conditioning, just a couple of old fans that struggle in the Jaipur heat. Sometimes the meat supply is a bit short, or the prices go up, and we have to explain that to the folks who come in. It is honest work and it keeps us on our toes. By the time the afternoon sun is high, we are usually pretty tired and ready to wash up and head home. It is a tough life in the market, but it is the life we have, and we take some pride in just showing up every day.
