Prem Opticians

We have been here at Chaura Rasta for a long time now. Most folks find us easily since we are right near Singhi Ji Ka Rasta. It is a very busy spot with lots of people walking by, but we like being in the middle of things. People come in when their glasses break or if they just need a new pair because their old ones are all scratched up and blurry. We sit here and help them pick out a frame that fits their face right. Sometimes it takes a bit of time to get the lenses perfect, especially for the older folks who need bifocals, but we do not like to rush through it. The shop is not fancy at all. There are just rows of frames on the walls and the usual testing equipment tucked in the back. My family has been doing this for years, and now I am here doing the same thing every day. It gets quite dusty with all the traffic and rickshaws outside, so we spend a lot of our time wiping down the glass cases. You can hear the horns honking while you are getting your eyes checked. We keep a decent stock of basic frames and some nicer ones if someone wants to spend a bit more money. Mostly, we just talk to our neighbors and help them see a little better. It is regular work, and we are usually here until late evening.
