Pinkcity Auto Centre

If you go to 2 Ajmeri Gate in the Kamla Nehru Market, you’ll see Pinkcity Auto Centre. It’s a place where things are usually a bit greasy and there’s always the sound of tools hitting metal. We deal with all sorts of auto parts and repairs. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, but it’s what we know how to do. The market is always loud with engines and people shouting to be heard over the traffic coming through Ajmeri Gate. My hands are usually stained with oil by ten in the morning. We have shelves full of parts that I can mostly find by memory now, even if they look like a jumble to anyone else. We don't have a fancy waiting room with coffee. People usually just stand around or sit on a stool while we talk about what’s wrong with their vehicle. It’s honest work. Sometimes a part is hard to find and we have to make a few calls, but we usually get it sorted out eventually. I’ve been working on cars and bikes for a long time, and I’ve seen just about every problem you can imagine. We don't use big words or try to confuse people. We just tell them what’s broken and what it takes to fix it. It’s a busy, dirty, and loud life, but I wouldn't know what else to do with my time.
