Vijaypet Industries

Our workshop is situated at No. 83/57 in Pratap Nagar, right off Tonk Road. It’s a busy area of town with lots of other small industries nearby. We spend our days managing the production lines and making sure the counts are right. The building isn't very new, so we have to keep up with repairs now and then. In Pratap Nagar, the heat can be a lot in June, so we try to get most of the heavy work done early in the morning. We have a staff of local people who have been with us for years. We all know each other's families and what’s going on in the neighborhood. Tonk Road is always moving, and we feel that energy in the shop. We have stacks of materials waiting to be processed near the back entrance. Sometimes we have to stay late to finish a big order, and we just order some food and keep going. The floor is concrete and we have to sweep it twice a day because of the scraps. We don't spend money on fancy signs or marketing things. We just focus on what we are making and getting it out the door. It’s a simple life of making things and dealing with the daily grind. We keep our accounts in a big leather-bound book and a simple computer program. It's just us doing our thing in this corner of the city, year after year.
