Paper Craze

We’re over at D-19/A on Meera Marg in Bani Park. It’s a nice area of Jaipur, a bit quieter than the main markets but still busy in its own way. Paper Craze is basically what the name says. We spend our time around stacks of paper, cardstock, and all sorts of stationery things. The office isn’t huge, but we’ve managed to fit everything in over the years. There are piles of samples on almost every surface, from the desks to the window sills. We spend a lot of time looking at textures and colors to see what works best for a project. It’s a lot of physical work, cutting and sorting things by hand more often than not. We aren't some big automated plant; it's a small group of us here doing the work. Sometimes the dust from the paper gets a bit much, but you get used to that pretty quickly. We like being in Bani Park because it’s easy for people to find us. We don't have a corporate vibe at all. It’s more like a workshop where we are always trying to figure out a better way to fold or pack something. Most days start with a list of what needs to go out and end with us clearing off the tables for the next morning. It’s honest work, and we just try to do it properly without making a big fuss about things. It keeps us busy and out of trouble most of the time.
