About Panipat Rugs Private Limited – Textile in Jaipur
Our place is at 5, Shivaji Nagar in the Civil Lines area. It is a quiet enough street compared to the main market roads. Inside the building, you will find piles of rugs stacked up almost everywhere you look. We do not have much in the way of decoration because the rugs take up all the available room. The air inside usually smells a bit like wool and sometimes cleaning supplies. We have got a couple of old wooden tables where we do all the measuring and the packing. It gets a bit cramped when a big shipment arrives from the weavers. My cousin helps out with the ledger books on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We sit in those old plastic chairs that squeak every time you lean back. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon, and we just sit outside on the steps for a bit of air until it comes back on. Shivaji Nagar is a decent area with mostly houses and a few offices like ours tucked away. We have a small electric kettle in the back for making tea, though it takes a long time to boil. People think rugs are simple things, but there is a lot of checking to do. We have to look for loose threads or any marks that should not be there. The floor is concrete and stays cold during the winter months. It is just a regular routine for us every single day.
