Nexus Paints & Chemicals

Our small shop is tucked away in the Jalupura area of Jaipur. It is a busy part of the city, especially during the early morning hours when everyone is starting their day. We deal with all sorts of paints and some industrial chemicals too. Most of our time is spent moving heavy buckets around and mixing colors for people who walk in off the street. The sun gets really hot here in Rajasthan, so we often keep the front shutters halfway down just to stay a bit cool inside. We are not a massive factory or a big corporate chain, just a local spot where people can get their supplies without much fuss. Usually, it is local painters or homeowners doing a bit of renovation who stop by to see us. We have shelves full of tins and some sacks of chemicals stacked in the back room. The whole place smells like thinner and fresh paint most of the time, but you get used to it after a few years of working here. My father used to run a similar place, and I just ended up following in his footsteps. We do not do much in the way of advertising. People in the neighborhood just know we are here in this lane. Sometimes the deliveries are late because the traffic in Jaipur can be a total mess, but we manage to get by. We keep a simple ledger for the regulars. It is a basic way to live and work.
