New Royal Tailors

New Royal Tailors is located at No. -2777 Khazane Walon Ka Rasta. We are right near Indira Bazar, which is one of the busiest spots you can find. Our shop is quite small and tucked into the lane. When you walk in, the first thing you notice is the smell of old fabric and the steam from the heavy irons we use. We have been tailoring clothes here for a long time. The shelves are packed with rolls of cloth that people have brought in or stuff we’ve kept over the years. We use old-fashioned sewing machines that have a specific rhythm to them. It gets very crowded in the lane outside, so there is always the sound of people shouting and scooters honking. We don't have a website or anything like that. People just know where we are. We spend all day measuring, cutting, and stitching. It’s hard to keep everything tidy when there are scraps of thread and fabric everywhere on the floor. Sometimes a customer comes in for a fitting and we have to make small changes while they wait. It’s a bit of a squeeze when there are more than three people in the shop. We keep our needles and threads in little tins. The lighting isn't the best, but we've got a couple of strong bulbs right over the worktables. It is just a regular tailoring shop where we try to get the fit right for whoever walks through the door. We stay busy, especially during the wedding season.
