You can find us on the Renwal Chomu Road, which is a long stretch where a lot of trucks and tractors go by. Running National Battery Service means we deal with a lot of heavy lifting every single day. Those big batteries for trucks and inverters aren't light, so we definitely get a workout just moving things from the back to the front. The shop floor is concrete and has a few stains here and there, but that’s just how it is when you’re working with this kind of equipment. We spend a lot of time checking levels and making sure everything is charged up and ready for whoever stops by. The road outside is often dusty and loud, especially when the big transport vehicles roar past. We usually have a radio playing in the background to drown out some of the noise. It’s just a couple of us here, and we’ve learned how to handle the heavy stuff without hurting our backs too much. The shop stays fairly open to the air, which is good because it can get quite warm in the middle of the day. People usually come in when they’re in a bit of a hurry because their vehicle won't start, so we try to move as fast as we can. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from dawn till dusk on this busy road. We just keep on working until the sun goes down and the road gets quiet.
