Our workshop and office are tucked away at 28-B Ashok Vatika in Jaipur. It’s easy to find if you look for the Power House or the Central Academic School nearby. We are M/S Derewala Jewellery Ind. Ltd., and we’ve been part of the Katewa Nagar and Jagtpura community for a while now. Jaipur is a city known for its jewelry, so we are in the right place, even if we are a bit removed from the old city tourist spots. The area around Ashok Vatika can get a bit dusty with all the new construction going on, but inside our doors, it’s all about the fine details. We spend our days working with various metals and stones. It’s meticulous work, and the lights are always bright so we can see what we are doing. The school nearby means there is a lot of noise during the afternoons when the kids are heading home, but we don't mind it much. It’s a lively neighborhood. We don’t have a fancy storefront with velvet curtains. It’s more of an industrial setup where the actual making happens. Most of us have been doing this for years, and we just focus on getting the pieces right. Sometimes we stay late when a big order needs finishing, and you can hear the hum of the power house in the background. It’s just how we do things here in Jaipur, nothing fancy, just steady work on every piece.
