M.R.K. Homefurnishing

Our shop is M.R.K. Homefurnishing. We are right in Nehru Bazar, at number 10. It’s easy to find because we are directly opposite the Co-operative Bank. The bazar is always crowded and loud, which is just how it is. We sell stuff for the house, like curtains and fabrics. We have rolls of cloth stacked up all over the place. It can be a bit of a squeeze when there are more than two or three people in the shop. We’ve been in Nehru Bazar for years. It’s a good spot for a business like ours. We don't have a fancy website or a catalog. People just come in, look at the material, and tell us what they need. We do a lot of measuring and cutting right there on the counter. The dust from the fabric is everywhere. We just work through the day and close up when the market gets quiet. It’s a very old-school way of doing things. We don't see any reason to change it. We are just at 10, Nehru Bazar if you need us. Sometimes the scissors get dull and we have to sharpen them. We talk to the other shopkeepers during the slow hours. It’s a busy life but it’s what we know. The Co-operative Bank across the street is a good landmark for people who haven't been here before. We just keep the fabric moving and the customers happy enough.
