Meenakshi Alloys (P) Ltd is right here in C-2, Shastri Nagar. If you know the area, you know Tagore Public School is just a short walk away from our front door. We’ve been operating from this spot for quite some time now. Most days it’s pretty busy with people coming and going. The metal work we do makes a bit of noise, so it’s never really quiet around here during the day. The staff mostly just gets on with things. It’s a practical kind of place, nothing fancy. We’ve got some machinery in the back and a small space in the front for paperwork. Sometimes the traffic near the school gets a bit much when the kids are leaving, but you get used to that. Being in Shastri Nagar is good because most people know where it is. We spend a lot of our time dealing with different types of alloys and making sure everything is where it should be. It’s not the most exciting work for everyone, but it keeps us busy. We start early and stay until the work is finished for the day. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoon when things slow down for a minute. It's just a regular local business trying to do its thing and keep the wheels turning. Most of the guys here have been with us for a while, so we all know how the place runs and what needs to happen every morning. It’s a decent living and we like the neighborhood well enough despite the busy street outside.
