Shree Shyam Kripa Handloom

Our shop, Shree Shyam Kripa Handloom, is over at 62 Radhaswami Nagar. We are right on Iskon Road in the Mansarovar area. It is a fairly quiet residential part of town compared to the main markets. We have piles of handloom items stacked up on the shelves. Most of the stuff is cotton or heavy fabrics that people use for their homes. We spend a lot of time folding and refolding the sheets and towels so they look decent on the racks. The lighting in the back of the shop isn't great, but we know where everything is kept. Working here is mostly about helping people find the right color or size for their beds. Sometimes the neighbors stop by just to chat for a bit. Mansarovar has grown a lot, but this street still feels like a community. We don't have any fancy displays or bright neon signs. It’s just the name on the board outside and the stacks of cloth inside. On rainy days, it smells like damp earth and fabric in here. We usually open up early in the morning and stay until the sun goes down. It's a simple way to make a living. We try to keep the stock updated when the new batches come in from the weavers. It keeps us on our toes and the shelves stay full.
