Manohar Jain & Co

Our office is Manohar Jain & Co. We are sitting in room 206 of the Vardhman Complex. This is right in the middle of Johari Bazar, so you can imagine the crowd. It is one of the busiest spots in the city. The market is full of people and shops selling everything. Getting to the complex can be a bit of a squeeze during festival times. Once you get up to the second floor, the noise from the bazar fades out a little bit. The office is a bit cramped because we have so many files. We’ve been here for a long time. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we haven't gotten around to it yet. We use old wooden desks that have some character. It’s a traditional kind of setup. We know most of the people who work in the other units of the complex. We share stories and sometimes a bit of lunch. The ceiling fan hums while we work on our ledgers. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't have a website or anything like that. We just do our work and people know where to find us. It’s how it has always been for us at Johari Bazar. We like the energy of the market, even if it gets a bit much on some days. There is a small window that looks out over the street, and we watch the shoppers below when we take a break.
