Mahi Castings

Mahi Castings is located in the Sarna Dungar Riico Industrial Area, right near Dadi Ka Phatak. If you’ve ever been out this way, you know it’s a lot of dust and heavy trucks. Our units are at 468 and 469. It’s a hot place to work, especially when the furnaces are going full blast. We do a lot of metal casting here. It’s heavy work and it’s loud. The guys are always moving around, moving molds, and pouring hot metal. You have to be careful every second you're on the floor. We don't have air conditioning in the main area because it wouldn't do much good anyway. We started small and just kept adding more equipment over the years. Some of the machines are older, but they still run better than the new stuff sometimes. We get orders for all kinds of parts. Some are for big machines and some are just small components that go into things you wouldn’t even think about. It’s satisfying to see a pile of raw scrap turn into something useful. By the end of the shift, everyone is covered in soot and ready for a wash. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If someone wants to talk to us, they usually just walk into the shed and find us. It’s a tough business, but there’s something about the smell of hot iron that gets into your blood after a while.
