Mahajan Auto Parts

If you come down to Adarsh Nagar 14, you will find Mahajan Auto Parts. It is a shop filled with the smell of engine oil and rubber. We have boxes stacked up to the ceiling with parts for all sorts of cars and bikes. Finding one specific bolt or a gasket can take a minute if you don't know exactly which shelf to look on. I have been working behind this counter for a long time and my fingers are usually stained with a bit of grease. Mechanics from the nearby garages come in all day asking for things. Sometimes they bring a broken part and we have to match it up with a new one from our stock. The light inside isn't very good but we know where everything is kept. We have an old wooden desk where we do the billing and keep the catalogs that are starting to lose their covers. It gets pretty loud outside with the traffic on the main road but inside it is just the sound of metal clicking against metal as we move things around. We don't do the repairs ourselves, we just provide what the fixers need to get the vehicles back on the road. It is a steady kind of life, opening up at ten and closing when the last mechanic finishes his work for the evening. We keep a small notebook for orders that haven't arrived yet and we make sure to call the customers when their stuff is ready to be picked up. It's just us here.
