We are right on MI Road in Jaipur, at Shop No. 3 in the Jayanti Market Extension. If you know Jaipur, you know MI Road is one of the busiest streets around. Our shop is quite small and sits in the extension part of the market. We have been here for a few years now. The space is mostly taken up by our stock and a small counter where we talk to people. Being in a market like Jayanti means there is always something going on. We see tourists, locals, and other shopkeepers all day long. It can get a bit cramped when we have more than a couple of people inside. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just a good ceiling fan that works hard in the summer heat. The morning is usually spent cleaning the dust off the shelves and getting things ready. We have a guy who brings us tea from a stall around the corner, which is how we start the day. There is no corporate manual here; we just treat people who walk in with basic respect and try to help them find what they need. It’s a humble little shop and we like it that way. MI Road has changed a lot over the years, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. It’s a good spot to be in.
