Leathertatva- Leather Design Studio

If you are looking for Leathertatva, we are situated at 9/24 in Vidyadhar Nagar. We call it a design studio because that is mostly what happens here. It is a bit different from a standard retail shop where everything is just lined up on shelves. Here, you’ll see a lot of drawings pinned to the walls and various prototypes sitting around on the benches. We spend a lot of time just thinking about how a piece of leather should be cut or folded. Vidyadhar Nagar is a decent area to work in, not too much noise to distract us. The studio itself is just a few rooms where we keep our machines and the hides. We have all kinds of leather piled up in the corners. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we know where everything is. We don't really have a sales pitch or a fancy reception area. If someone comes in, they usually just find us at a desk or a workbench. We prefer it this way because it lets us focus on the actual design work. Some days are slow and we just experiment with new patterns. Other days we are rushing to get things finished. It is just a small operation. We have been at this address for a bit, and we’ve gotten used to the layout. It works for what we need to do every day and keeps us close to the materials.
