Laxmi Properties

We have been here at Shop No 12 for a long time now. It is right by the Nadi Ka Phatak crossing on Banar Road. Mostly we just deal with houses and small plots of land around the Jhotwara area. People come in, sit down on the plastic chairs, and we talk about what is available nearby. It is not a big fancy office at all. Just a simple desk and a few registers where we write everything down. Sometimes the traffic outside gets really loud because of the railway crossing, but we are used to it by now. We know most of the neighbors and shopkeepers around here. If someone is looking for a place to rent or a bit of land to buy, we check our notes. It is mostly local stuff for local people. We spend our mornings opening up the shop and checking the local papers while having some tea. Some days it stays quiet, and other days it is busy with people stopping by on their way home from work. We have seen this part of Jaipur change quite a bit over the years with new buildings going up everywhere. We just try to keep track of who is selling what. It is a simple way of working. We do not even have a computer in the shop. If you are walking past Banar Road, you will see our board. We are usually here until late evening.
