K.S.Design Group, Tonk Road, Jaipur

Our place is in Jhotwara, specifically in the Kumawat Colony at 104-B. It is quite a distance from the main Tonk Road area people usually associate us with, but this is where we do the actual work. Jaipur is a big city and Jhotwara has its own rhythm. We have a small setup here where we handle all our design tasks. It is not a fancy studio with glass walls or anything like that. It is just a regular building where we sit and draw or plan things out on the computer. The neighborhood is mostly families and small shops, so it is a bit more relaxed than the city center. We spend our mornings getting through the mail and then we dive into whatever project is currently on the table. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit, but that is just how it is. We do not use any big words to describe what we do. We just look at the requirements and try to figure out a way to make them work. The team is small, and we have known each other for a long time. It feels more like a small family than a big company. We usually have tea together in the afternoon and talk about what needs to be finished by the end of the week. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the work at hand.
