Krishna Mold Cutting

So we are tucked away at 1512, Ghee Walon Ka Rasta, right in the heart of Johri Bazar here in Jaipur. If you know the 5th Chouraha, you know how busy it gets around here with all the jewelry work going on. Most days it’s just us inside the shop, working on mold cutting tasks that come our way. It’s not a fancy place at all. The walls are a bit dusty from the work and we usually have the radio playing some old songs in the background. People come in and out, mostly folks who work in the nearby markets. Johri Bazar is always crowded, so there is always noise from the rickshaws and people shouting outside. We’ve been at this address for a while now. It’s just what we do every day from morning until the sun goes down. Sometimes the tea man comes by and we take a short break, but mostly it is just steady work with the molds. The space is small and filled with tools and bits of metal. It gets really hot in the summer months because the air doesn't move much in these narrow lanes, but we are used to it by now. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the shop where we sit and get the jobs done. It is a simple life and we just keep busy with the orders that come through the door.
