Kalra Motors is over at Ajmeri Gate, specifically in the Kamla Nehru Market. If you know Jaipur, you know this market is always crowded and full of energy. It’s a major hub for parts and repairs. Our shop has been here through many seasons. We deal with motor parts and related stuff. The walls are lined with shelves full of boxes and metal components. It’s a bit greasy and loud because of all the work going on around us, but that’s the nature of a motor market. We don't have a waiting room with a TV or anything like that. People usually just stand around or sit on a stool while we find what they need. My clothes usually have a few oil stains by noon, but I don't mind. We talk to a lot of mechanics and drivers every single day. Everyone is usually in a hurry to get their vehicles back on the road. We try to work fast but sometimes it takes time to find the right part in the piles. We know most of the other shop owners in Kamla Nehru Market. We help each other out when someone is short on stock. It’s a tough business but it’s what we know. We aren't here to give a sales pitch. We just provide the parts that keep the city moving.
