Our place is right at 1288 Khowwalon Ka Chowk. It’s tucked away in Gopal Ji Ka Rasta, which is part of the famous Johari Bazar. If you’ve ever walked through there, you know it’s a maze of narrow lanes and shops. Kala Gems Exports is what we call ourselves. We work with stones and gems every single day. It’s quiet work in a noisy neighborhood. Johari Bazar is always packed with people looking for jewelry. We stay focused on the export side. Our workspace is small but it works for what we need. You can hear the scooters outside and the vendors shouting. We’ve been in this spot for a long time. The building is old, like most things around here. We spend hours looking at small details under the light. It takes a lot of patience. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit. We don't have a fancy showroom. It's more of a workshop and office combined. We pack the gems carefully to send them away. Everyone in this lane knows each other. We drink chai from the stall around the corner a couple of times a day. It’s just the rhythm of life in the bazaar. We handle the stones, check the quality, and manage the shipments. It’s simple, honest work. We like being in the heart of the city where all the action is. It's crowded but it's home for our business.
