We operate out of Bhopaji Ki Dhani, at the house of Madan Lal Gurjar. It is right near the Shri Dev Sen Senior Secondary School in the Amber area of Jaipur. Since we are near a school, the mornings and afternoons are usually filled with the sounds of kids and bells. Our office isn't in a big commercial tower; it’s a more local, grounded spot that fits the neighborhood. We handle the Nidhi business by sitting down with our members and going over their savings plans one by one. It’s a lot of face-to-face talk and writing things down in big registers. We don't go for anything fancy like air conditioning or high-tech gadgets; a simple fan and a reliable pen are enough for us. Amber is a historic place, and we feel like a small part of the daily life here. People stop by after dropping their kids at school or while they are out running errands. We mostly talk about the local news while we process the paperwork. It’s a slow and steady kind of work. We make sure the files are stored safely and that every member knows exactly where their money is. Sometimes we have to explain things twice, but that’s just part of the job. We are just local people helping other local people keep their finances in order without any big corporate headaches or confusing terms.
