Joharilal Chetan Prakash Ajmerwala is tucked away near the main market over at 266 Tripoliya Bazar. It’s a bit of a mouthful of a name, but it’s been ours for many years. The shop isn't anything flashy. We have old counters and shelves that have seen better days, but they work fine for what we do. Being near the main market means there is always a lot of dust and movement. We spend a good part of the morning just cleaning up and getting ready for whoever walks in. People usually find us because they’ve been coming here for generations. We don’t spend money on big signs or anything. The address 266 is easy to spot once you get into the flow of Tripoliya Bazar. It’s a historic area, and you can feel that in the walls of the shop. We deal with customers one by one, usually over a glass of water if it’s hot out. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just sit and wait it out. That’s just part of being in this part of town. We don't have a big staff, just family mostly. We know the rhythms of the market, when it gets busy and when it’s time to close up. It is a steady life here, and we are happy to keep things going exactly as they are without making any big changes.
