Our place is located at 9/3 in the Anand Lamp Compound, right at Anand Chouraha in the Jhotwara Industrial Area of Jaipur. Being in Rajasthan, the summers are no joke, and the warehouse gets really hot. We handle glass sheets all day, so everyone has to be careful and keep their gloves on. It is a big space but it’s full of crates and cutting tables. You can hear the sound of glass being scored and snapped every few minutes. It is a dusty area because of all the construction and the traffic in Jhotwara. We are not a corporate office with air conditioning in every room. Most of the time we are on the floor moving glass around or loading it onto the back of trucks. The light comes in through the big high windows and shows all the dust in the air. We keep our records in a simple desk near the main door. People stop by from the industrial area to talk about orders or just to grab a quick tea. We don't have any promotional slogans or big missions. We just cut the glass to the size people ask for and try not to break too much of it. It’s a straightforward business and we’ve been at this spot for a long time. The compound is always busy with other businesses doing their thing too.
