We are right in the thick of things where all the big trucks and deliveries happen every day. Om Packaging isn’t some high-tech facility with shiny glass walls. It’s a practical workspace where we spend our hours dealing with cardboard, tape, and packing materials. The air usually smells a bit like paper and glue. We have a few machines that help with the cutting, and they have their own peculiar sounds that you get used to after a week or two. The floor is rarely ever clean because as soon as you sweep, more scraps fall down. That’s just the nature of the business. We focus on getting things ready for other businesses nearby. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, so we keep the doors open to catch whatever breeze comes through the industrial estate. We’ve stayed in this same spot for a long time now. People know us as the guys near Kamani Chauraha who are always busy with boxes. We don't have a big team, just a few local hands who know the routine. We start the day by checking what needs to go out and then we just get to it. It’s steady work and it keeps us occupied from morning until the sun goes down.
